UK Tobacco Manufacturers Association downsizing

According to "Financial Times" article written by Jacob Ross said, the leaders of the British Tobacco Manufacturers' Association for failing to convince the Union Government to abolish the Labour government's anti-tobacco measures to prepare to leave.

In Association British American Tobacco, Imperial Tobacco and Japan Tobacco International, the Association's first review the structure after 1997 joined the Tobacco Manufacturers Association, and in 2007 when the Association president Christopher Ogden in October leave.

Ogden said the review led to the association structure, the improvement will make the Tobacco Manufacturers Association, seven employees in the five to leave. The purpose of the improvement association, is to cut costs, eliminate association with the Association's public affairs team of duplication of work, a more localized approach to carry out lobbying and organizing activities.
