EU to consider the implementation of tobacco in paperback or in the decision of next year
The European Commission expects its 2011 "Tobacco Products Directive" proposed legislative changes suggested in the second quarter of next year release.
The proposed changes in the originally planned end of this year, when released, but some observers suggested to announce the end of next year.
European Commission gives the modified plan, as the European Parliament on the proposal on the implementation of tobacco products and illegal trade paperback possible impact of the response made.
The European Commission said: "During the audit of the case, the problem involves the verification of a possible implementation of (standardized) paperback."
"Several studies have shown, for the paperback to help reduce smoking prevalence can play the role, especially through the prevention of smoking initiation."
